The Fifth Meeting of the Common Aeronautical Virtual Private Network Operations Group of APANPIRG, jointly hosted by the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong, China (CAD) and PCCW Global was held at the Headquarters of CAD, Hong Kong, China from 23 to 25 January 2019. The meeting was attended by 70 participants from 19 States/Administrations from the ICAO APAC and MID Regions.

The Fifth Meeting of the MIDANPIRG AIM Sub-Group (AIM SG/5) and Workshop on Annex 15 (16th Edition) and PANS AIM were held at the ICAO Middle East Regional Office in Cairo, Egypt, from 22 to 24 January 2019.
The meeting was attended by a total of 34 participants from six States (Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen) and four international organizations and corporations (IFAIMA, Jeppesen, NG Aviation and Thales).

The First Meeting of the Regional Aviation Security and Facilitation Implementation Team (RAFIT/1) was held at the ICAO MID Regional Office, Cairo, Egypt. The meeting was attended by a total of 20 participants from six States (Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia) and three organizations (CANSO, IATA and WFP).
ICAO MID and IATA AME Collaboration Meeting
Jordan, Amman, 28 May 2019
Mr. Mohamed Rahma, MID Regional Director, visited the IATA AME office in the light of the collaboration between the two offices. Mr. Rahma highlighted the importance of industry collaboration, particularly to ensure safe air transport in a challenging region and to promote the excepted doubling of growth. He also explained how the No Country Left Behind (NCLB) initiative supports underprivileged countries. IATA expressed its commitment to supporting this important ICAO initiative.
