The aviation sector continues to evolve through innovation, collaboration, and the development of a diverse and inclusive workforce. To support these efforts, we partnered with the UN Women and IATA to bring together government representatives, industry leaders, international organizations, academia, and aviation professionals to discuss opportunities, challenges, and initiatives related to the participation and empowerment of women across civil aviation.
The 2026 Global Aviation Gender Summit 2026, which is taking place from 21 to 23 July 2026 in Luanda, Angola, is being hosted by the Autoridade Nacional da Aviação Civil. The Summit programme will provide a global platform for dialogue on the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of women in aviation. Discussions throughout the event will explore a wide range of topics, including leadership and decision-making, workforce development, measurable progress and accountability, aviation data and research, mentorship and advocacy initiatives, education and career pathways, and strategies to help create workplace environments where women can thrive.
During the event, we will examine how innovation, partnerships, and cross-sector collaboration are contributing to initiatives across technical, operational, and leadership roles throughout the aviation ecosystem. Sessions will feature perspectives from States, international organizations, industry, academia, and aviation professionals, while also highlighting initiatives and practical experiences from across the global aviation community.
Participants will also have opportunities to engage directly with organizations and stakeholders showcasing programmes, partnerships, and initiatives from across the aviation community.
Organizations interested in increasing their visibility and engagement during the event can also explore sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities available through the Summit. Sponsorship packages, exhibition booths, and Skytalks presentation opportunities are designed to help organizations share expertise, highlight initiatives, and connect with aviation stakeholders, industry leaders, and representatives from ICAO Member States.
