ICAN2016 attracts Regulators and Aviation Industry Stakeholders

Not only does ICAO’s annual Air Services Negotiation Event provide States with a central meeting place for conducting multiple bilateral air services negotiations and consultations, it also offers participants with excellent networking opportunities and a forum for exchanging experiences and discussing topical issues.

This year’s ICAO Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN2016) is being hosted by the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Bahamas and will be held in Nassau 5 to 9 December 2016.

The global forum attracts various aviation stakeholders and provides participants with an opportunity for learning about current trends. It provides an excellent networking opportunity where they can discuss and exchange experiences. All negotiations between States or Regional Groups remain confidential.

ICAN has been highly commended by participating Delegations as an efficient platform for conducting air service negotiations. Since its inception, the number of countries that utilize this event has steadily increased – a total of 137 States have participated in and benefited from ICAN at least once.

The ninth ICAN2016 event will offer industry stakeholders opportunities for Business to Business (B2B) meetings and networking with both business stakeholders and community members, as well as with aviation regulators and air service negotiators participating in the event.
